We knew Champ would be a herdsire from day one. We have never seen another cria with so much presence, bone structure and confidence. With his strong pedigree he has quite a bit of which to be proud. He is 5/8 Peruvian and 3/8 Accoyo.

From his fleece-covered face to the tips of his toes, this boy has coverage with well-defined high-amplitude, high-frequency crimp and fineness the judges have consistently admired. He has been awarded a ribbon in every show he has attended as a juvi and yearling. He was then retired from the show string for a few years until we took him back on the road when he was nearly 4 years old. We were so impressed with the way his fleece was maintaining it's fineness and the uniformity of its crimp style. Boy are we glad we did. He was awarded the Reserve Color Championship by Amanda Vandenbosch at the Level 5 North American Alpaca Show, arguably one of the most competitive shows in the country. In her oral reasonings she stated that "for his age he has retained remarkable fineness and uniformity coupled with significant density". Well, a few years later, nothing has changed and his crimp, density and fineness are still awe inspiring.

We have used Champ as our farm ambassador at many public events. We will miss his easy-going personality and exceptional temperament, but our loss is your gain. Whether you breed for solid colored or multi colored alpacas, Champ will work for you. Of his over one dozen siblings, only one other is multi.
